The minimum admission requirements for consideration to Year 1 can be found on the Undergraduate Studies website. Additional requirements and/or subject prerequisites may be needed, depending on the specific faculty and department. Students who have completed university-level work at a recognized post-secondary institution may be eligible for admission at the Year 2 level or above, depending upon the published general/specific faculty and department requirements and transferability of courses. Please note that only those applicants who have attained a high level of academic achievement will be offered admission, regardless of year level.
English language proficiency can be demonstrated by submitting acceptable scores from CAEL, IELTS, LPI, MELAB or TOEFL tests. All test scores must be sent directly to UVic from the testing organization. We will not accept unofficial test scores. We will not accept tests taken more than two years before your application to UVic. Other tests may be considered on an individual basis following a review by Undergraduate Admissions to determine if test scores are similar to the level required for the TOEFL.
